Hemp-derived Cannabidiol (CBD) products are taking the world by storm.

There are three main types of CBD products that you will encounter, and they are full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, and isolate. We are going to focus on full-spectrum and broad-spectrum because they are the most popular and readily available.

If you are going to get the most out of your cannabis and CBD adventure, you need to know what these terms mean as well as the differences between them.

If you can study and assimilate what these mean, you will be much better educated, and you will understand more about how these can fit into your needs. Buying the right CBD oil products can make all the difference with the way you assess and enjoy these products.

So, let’s learn a little more about the different types of CBD oil as well as what they offer, and which is the best type to choose for your life. Let’s delve a little deeper and find out more about full-spectrum and broad-spectrum CBD oil products.

Overview

  • What is Full-Spectrum CBD?
  • What is Broad-Spectrum CBD?
  • What about CBD Isolate?
  • Which Do You Prefer?

What is Full-Spectrum CBD?

Full-spectrum CBD oil products are also known as “whole plant.” This is generally due to the fact that they contain CBD but also terpenes as well as other cannabinoids, like CBN, CBH, and THC. This makes it a veritable mixture of many different elements of cannabis and hemp plants. But the good thing about full-spectrum products is that they are almost always completely natural.

Furthermore, full-spectrum CBD products are by far the most popular among consumers. This is most likely due to the fact that with these products, the cannabinoids and terpenes work together to create something known as the entourage effect. This is where the individual components of the plant’s therapeutic properties are enhanced.

In order to be safe, if you are someone who will need to take drug tests, you have to ensure that you are careful. The trace amounts of THC found in full-spectrum CBD products can show up in drug tests.

What is Broad-Spectrum CBD?

The other hugely popular type of CBD products you will encounter is broad-spectrum CBD products.

When looking at full-spectrum versus broad-spectrum, it is important to understand the differences between the two. Broad-spectrum products are similar to full-spectrum in that they contain a mixture of cannabinoids and terpenes, but no THC.

In fact, there have been extensive attempts made here to try to remove as much THC as possible from the product. As such, broad-spectrum CBD oil products are often seen as being purer and more appealing. Basically, you get everything that full-spectrum has minus the THC, and this has positives and negatives.

But the main thing to keep in mind is that they are both very similar products that will enhance and improve your CBD oil experience. They will also benefit your life and health in the process.

What about CBD Isolate?

It is also important to find out as much as you can about the third type of CBD – CBD isolate. If you are sensitive to THC or you are going to undergo drug tests, then isolates will be the choice for you. These are usually products considered to be pure CBD, or at the very least, 99%+ pure because the CBD has been isolated from the other substances; hence the name.

The big appeal when it comes to isolates is all about purity. This is what you need to make sure you look at when you are judging the product, or even looking to buy some isolates.

Which Do You Prefer?

Well, this is a pretty subjective question, and it largely depends on what you’re looking for. A study conducted back in 2015 suggested that full-spectrum is the best choice.

The reasoning behind this is that full-spectrum includes every substance and that it is necessary to experience everything together if you want the full impact of cannabis. But at the end of the day, it largely comes down to you and your personal preference.

So hopefully, you now have a better understanding of full-spectrum vs. broad-spectrum and the different CBD oil products out there. If you can understand the different components that make up these products and a little about the impact they can have on you, you’ll enhance your experience.

If you are planning on shopping for some CBD oil products, these are the three you are most likely going to be looking at. So now, you understand the differences and can feel confident in your choice.
